Meet the Founder Dr. Vera Trofimenko M.D., M.A.S.

Dr. Vera Trofimenko, M.D., M.A.S., is a board-certified urologist and fellowship-trained sexual medicine specialist, dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to both men and women. As the founder of the Vitality Center for Urology & Sexual Medicine, she specializes in urological health, bladder care, urinary incontinence, reproductive wellness, and weight management. With a patient-first approach, Dr. Trofimenko focuses on personalized, evidence-based treatments designed to improve quality of life and restore confidence.

Dr. Trofimenko earned her bachelor’s degree from Columbia University before obtaining both her Doctor of Medicine and master’s in clinical research from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. She trained in general surgery at UCLA Medical Center and completed her urology residency at the University of Utah, followed by a specialized fellowship in urologic prosthetic surgery and sexual medicine with world-renowned experts. She is highly skilled in the latest minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures for conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stones, bladder and prostate cancers, male contraception (no-scalpel vasectomy), and sexual dysfunction in both men and women.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Trofimenko is a respected researcher and author, having contributed to multiple book chapters and scientific publications on topics ranging from post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence to genetic causes of male infertility. She is an active member of leading medical organizations, including the American Urological Association (AUA), the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH). Fluent in Russian, Spanish, French, and Hebrew, she brings a global perspective to patient care. When not in the clinic, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her beloved Australian shepherd.
